Sheryl is Chair of Hult Prize Foundation Council, where she sets and drives the expansion strategy for the Council, building engagement between and across all stakeholders – from start-ups to nonprofits to academic institutions and corporations. Actively involved since 2012, Sheryl has been instrumental in growing the reach and impact of the Hult Prize Foundation, recently named as one of the world’s most innovative companies by Fast Company. Working with thousands of partners, winners and advocates who benefited from the annual events and trainings, Sheryl looks forward to building the next generation of impact for the Foundation.
Prior to joining Hult Prize Sheryl was Chief of Staff for the Linux Foundation, where she oversaw all operational activities and served as the nexus between executive management and stakeholders spanning numerous influential open source projects, leaders and organizations. In this role, Sheryl was consistently recognized for driving collaboration across projects and teams, and introducing novel and impactful technologies and frameworks which optimized results.
Prior to joining The Linux Foundation, Ms. Chamberlain served as a Partner/VP at Capgemini in their Group Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships global organization, where she was responsible for managing key partnerships with Dell Technologies (EMC, VMware, Pivotal, Virtustream, and RSA), leading the $800M+ partnership strategies and overseeing execution of go-to market activities globally.
During Sheryl’s fifteen-plus year career with EMC, Ms. Chamberlain was quickly promoted to Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives, and COO in the Global Office of the Chief Technology Officer, where she oversaw the company’s transition from enterprise storage to virtualization, security, and converged infrastructure.
Ms. Chamberlain began her career as an implementation consultant at an IBM ISV – Computer Guidance Corporation and as a New Business Sales Agent with IBM. From there, as the founder and CEO of LSE, Ltd., Sheryl built a $5M global business and technology consulting company to provide IBM midrange solutions to customers.
